This includes, but not limited to: drug screens, biometric screening and insurance exams.</li><li>Administer oral solutions according to established training.</li><li>Research test/client information and confirm and verify all written and electronic orders by utilizing lab technology systems, Client contact, and approved tools.</li><li>Ability to navigate a computer and accurately enter data is a requirement to be successful in this role.</li><li>Obtain identification and accurately enter billing information and collect payments when required, following corporate policies. </li><li>Processing specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport as required by test order.</li><li>Perform all on-patient facing duties, including inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones and utilizing email as appropriate.</li><li>Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.</li><li>Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data when required. </li><li>Maintain all appropriate phlebotomy logs in a timely manner and based on frequency, such as maintenance logs and temperature logs.</li><li>Complete online and in person training courses timely.</li><li>Travel to additional doctor’s office or Patient Service Center sites when needed<br/><br/></li></ul><div><strong>Required Education: </strong></div><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.</li><li>Phlebotomy certification preferred. Responsibilities:
<ul style="margin-top:0in"><li>Demonstrates expertise in all aspects of blood and specimen procurement, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and other procedures as required.</li><li>Consistently adheres to all safety regulations, including washing hands between patients and uses appropriate personal protective devices when required.</li><li>Ensures routine specimens and those requiring special handling procedures are always collected in the correct blood draw tube(s) and/or container.</li><li>Correctly labels specimens and ensures the positive identification of patient identity and laboratory specimens.</li><li>Provides correct instructions to patients for special collections in a clear and concise manner.</li><li>Exhibits proficiency in specimen processing and transport procedures (if applicable).</li><li>Blood drawing and workstations are kept clean, orderly, and well stocked.</li><li>Demonstrates good judgment in dealing with difficult patients and circumstances.</li><li>Proficient and efficient in all aspects of laboratory order entry processes, including patient registration, insurance verification, and ordering of tests.</li><li>Accurately and consistently performs cashier functions, including collection of patient-owed dollars and balancing the cash drawer in EMR when applicable.</li></ul>

Qualifications:
<p style="margin-left:0.25in"><u>Education/Certification/License:  </u></p><ul><li>Completion of a Phlebotomy/Medical Assistant Program.</li></ul><p style="margin-left:0.25in"><u>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</u>:</p><ul><li>Must pay close attention to detail, be organized, and provide excellent customer service. </li><li> In addition must be able to prioritize work and be a team player.</li></ul>
