Ability to intubate patients and assist in bronchoscopies PALS, NRP List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Patient assessment Administer therapies, including oxygen, aerosol medication delivery, chest physiotherapy Assist with bronchoscopies at the bedside and in the endoscopy suite Assists with placement of artificial airways Initiates, monitors, and maintains mechanical ventilation Assists with the transportation of ventilator-dependent patients Responds to emergent patient situations and ensures airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation as required Serves as a clinical resource, providing education to patients and their families, as well as staff Performs a variety of duties related to setting up, operating, cleaning, sterilizing, and storing respiratory therapy equipment REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: RCP license with Texas Medical Board RRT with National Board for Respiratory Care ACLS BLS Floating Area(s): Bay Area Medical Center RT Department Dress Code: Scrub Color/Attire - Pewter Grey Scrubs Weekends and On call(if any) Rotating weekends Show more.
