Essential Job Functions: Perform physical therapy procedures in accordance with written treatment plan formulated by the Licensed Physical Therapist, which may include therapeutic exercises, traction, massage, therapeutic heat and cold, hydrotherapy, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, intermittent compression, functional training, gait training, prosthetic training, chest physical therapy, and measurement for assistive devices. The ideal candidate must have an Associate's Degree from a Physical Therapist Assistant Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association, at least one year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in an acute care setting (preferably oncology), and hold a Physical Therapist Assistant License issued by the Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners.

Under indirect supervision, provides rehabilitative and developmental therapy support services for ambulatory or inpatient clients within a specified patient care facility or homesetting. Assess for muscle strength, mobility, gait, range of motion and pain and select appropriate treatment and assistive devices, instructing family and caregivers on use of devices.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, treating, and planning therapeutic interventions as required by the Physical Therapy discipline. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure- 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist in a hospital setting preferred.
