Ability to: Plan, organize and coordinate the work of a therapy staff; explain or teach therapy treatments to therapists, parents, school personnel, other agencies, children, and the public; apply occupational or physical therapy techniques in observing, testing and evaluating patients; explain occupational or physical therapy treatments to physically handicapped children; deal effectively with handicapped children and their parents; prepare reports and keep records of case histories. Senior Therapist Case Managers are responsible for: adjudicate requests for Durable Medical Equipment, orthotics/prosthetics, specialized medical procedures, and physical, occupational and speech therapy services; review inpatient rehabilitation requests and confer with Medical Director/Consultant regarding medical eligibility and participate in discharge planning/coordination from inpatient rehabilitation; referral of all Medical Therapy Program eligible clients to Medical Therapy Units.
