Responsibilities: Job responsibilities include but not limited to comprehensive Neonatology Nurse Practitioner services in accordance with privileges granted by the Military Treatment Facility Director of the Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Mother Baby Unit, and Labor & Delivery Unit (to include the Operating Room (OR) for cesarean sections):Order and administer an approved list of drugs according to protocol. Determine appropriate procedures and perform procedures including sedation, endotracheal intubation, routine phlebotomy, arterial phlebotomy, percutaneous central venous line placement, umbilical line placement, lumbar puncture, suprapubic bladder taps, bladder catheterization, needle thoracentesis, and chest tube placement as credentialed.
