Lead or support the development of detailed cost proposals and budget narratives for donor-funded opportunities; Collaborate with technical leads, proposal managers, and finance teams to cost out activities, staffing, and operational requirements, ensuring cost realism and consistency with technical designs; Ensure that budgets and financial documentation comply with donor and internal IFDC requirements, including allowable costs, formats, and justifications; Develop and document pricing assumptions, budget notes, and value-for-money analyses for internal and external review; Coordinate with partners and subcontractors to consolidate and review budgets, ensuring compliance, alignment, and cost realism; Provide quality assurance for budget submissions, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and consistency between technical and financial components; Participate in internal review and strategy meetings related to proposal development and cost design; Support the continuous improvement of IFDC’s budgeting tools, templates, and guidance materials. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, international development, or related field; At least five (5) years of professional experience in budgeting, pricing, cost proposal development, or financial management for donor-funded programs; Experience preparing budgets for major bilateral or multilateral donors (e.g., USAID, FCDO, IFAD, World Bank, etc.); Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and financial modeling; Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment; Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues; Experience working in an international or multicultural environment preferred.
