This position is responsible for the pre and post analytical phase of laboratory testing including: registration, order entry, order interpretation, specimen identification/labeling, responding to phones and the tube system, problem resolution, sending reports to clients and processing send out specimens. Makes sure that all testing indicated on the physician order form is correctly entered, the appropriate specimen/order information is entered into the Incoming Specimen Log, and all specimens are properly labeled.
