Tutor Specialists enhance the learning of MPTC students by informally assessing student knowledge, identifying areas needing improvement, providing supplemental instruction, clarifying assignments and course content, modeling and supporting appropriate study strategies, and guiding students toward independence and self-direction in their course work. Tutor Specialist provide academic support to students in various disciplines not offered by the Student Success Center such as, Accounting, Architecture, Electricity, Graphic Design, Information Technology, Mathematics, Medical Coding, Nursing, Pharmacology, Radiography, and Respiratory Therapy.
