D. in Speech-Language Pathology or a closely related field (ABD considered; degree must be completed prior to appointment); Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP); Eligibility for licensure in the state of Louisiana; At least nine months of full-time clinical experience after the CCC-SLP; Commitment to developing an active research program within the area of the applicant's expertise; Conduct ongoing, independent research, resulting in scholarly publications and/or successful grant proposals; Commitment to academic advising and mentoring for undergraduate and graduate students in the department; Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population; Write and speak English proficiently; Ability to work effectively in a collaborative academic environment; and. Experience in child and/or adolescent language disorders, literacy, developmental disabilities, speech sound disorders, phonology, disorders of rhythm, or complex communication; Experience teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level; Record of scholarly publications or demonstrate the potential for sustained research productivity; Experience with grant writing or funded research; and.
