The Associate Athletic Director works closely with Athletics senior leadership, coaches, the Athletics Compliance Office, the Office of the Registrar, the Faculty Athletics Representative, college academic units, and other campus partners to promote student-athlete academic achievement, retention, graduation, and overall academic success. The position is responsible for the daily operation and long-term direction of Academic Services for Student-Athletes office (ASSA), including supervision and development of professional and student staff, academic advising and monitoring, student-athlete academic support programming, academic reporting, eligibility collaboration, and coordination with campus academic units and the Office of Student Success.
