Child Care Program Director Qualification (Special Requirement): Applicants must meet one (1) of the following Colorado Child Care Licensing qualification pathways for a Program Director of a School-Age Child Care Center: A Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university with a major area of study in Child Development, Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Elementary Education, Elementary Special Education, Family and Human Development, Family Studies, Special Education, Outdoor Education, Recreation, or Human Services. Twenty-one (21) months (3,185 hours) of verified experience in the care and supervision of four (4) or more children over the age of four (4) who are not related to the applicant AND either six (6) semester credit hours in applicable coursework OR completion of forty (40) clock hours of training applicable to school-age children within the first nine (9) months of employment.
