Under the supervision of the nursing department’s management, the Medical-Surgical Float Pool RN assumes the responsibility for the nursing processes of assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation needed to deliver safe, evidence-based care within their scope of practice on the acute care and surgical nursing units. Must have passed the NCLEX examination, and possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice by the time they start their first day of work.
