<p>· To use professional skill and knowledge to provide a high standard of primary and continuing medical care to patients in line with the GMS contract.</p><p>· Contribute to the delivery of patient services in line with ICB requirements.</p><p>· Effective clinical administration, audit, and management appropriate to the role.</p><p>· Contribute to the Practice team by being an effective team member.</p><h3>Duties and Responsibilities</h3><ol><li>Undertake all duties associated with the role of a General Practitioner required by the GMS contract, including patient consultations, duty doctor cover, and home visits. Consider physical, psychological, and social factors when diagnosing illness, treating diseases, tending to injuries, and recommending treatment. Work according to the Practice rota system.</li><li>Collect, record, and maintain patient information such as medical history, reports, and examination results accurately on the clinical system, using templates and read codes, and in a timely manner. Comply with GMS Contract objectives, QOF targets, and CCG requirements.</li><li>Work in accordance with Practice clinical procedures and protocols, adhering to governance requirements from GMC, Department of Health, H&WCCG, SWHealthcare Federation, etc.</li><li>Request, perform, interpret tests, and record reports and examination information to assist diagnosis. Prescribe or administer treatment, medication, vaccination, and other medical care. Monitor and re-evaluate patients’ conditions and treatments as necessary.</li><li>Refer patients to specialists or other practitioners appropriately and timely, following referral protocols.</li><li>Promote health education in collaboration with other healthcare professionals and be aware of local health and social issues.</li><li>Complete all clinical administration tasks, including audits and reports for solicitors, insurance companies, and third parties.</li><li>Liaise with healthcare professionals, including supporting the nursing team during minor illness clinics.</li><li>Maintain patient confidentiality and integrity of the patient/practice relationship, complying with confidentiality policies and guidelines.</li><li>Communicate effectively within the team and with patients, carers, and colleagues.</li><li>Participate actively in Practice meetings.</li><li>Support compliance with the Practice Health and Safety policy, working safely according to legislation and policies.</li><li>Participate in GP revalidation and appraisal, maintaining a professional development portfolio.</li><li>Keep medical knowledge and skills up to date, attend training, and stay informed about medical developments.</li><li>Undertake other duties as requested by Partners or Practice Manager within professional competence.</li></ol><p>This job description is a guide and may be amended to meet Practice needs and patient care requirements.</p><h3>Essential and Desirable Qualifications and Skills</h3><ul><li>Current full GMC Registration and inclusion in the GMC GP Register.</li><li>Evidence of CPD, ongoing education, and professional development.</li><li>Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners.</li></ul><p>Experience in multidisciplinary teamwork, undertaking audits, and using electronic clinical systems like EMIS Web and DOCMAN.</p><p>Skills include excellent patient manner, interpersonal skills, good computer skills, awareness of CPD importance, and experience in health promotion and clinical audits.</p><h3>Organisation Details</h3><p>DeMontfort Medical Centre, Burford Road, Evesham, Worcestershire, WR11 3HD.</p><p>Role: GP, Part-Time, 6 sessions per week, including one Friday.</p><p>Location: Herefordshire & Worcestershire Training Hub, Nelson House, Whitecross Road, Hereford, HR4 0DG.</p><p>Part of Taurus Health Ltd, Registered in England and Wales No.08030655.</p>#J-18808-Ljbffr
