The position serves as an administrative and legal support to the firm’s Family Law Attorneys. The paralegal will be working closely with the supervising attorney. This position is responsible for direct contact and communication with clients, preparing legal documents and pleadings for court, organizing client portfolios, analyzing discovery documents and financial data. The paralegal will provide essential administrative tasks including document preparation, dictation, filing, proofreading correspondence, and various other administrative tasks. Candidates should have a strong foundation of family law experience, be client-centric, and have a collaborative team focus. The ideal candidate will also possess strong interpersonal skills, multi-tasking skills, maintain a proactive approach and an empathetic attitude in dealing with confidential client matters.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Obtains legal documents.</li><li>Performs administrative and client service functions.</li><li>Conducts basic research.</li><li>Assists with the drafting and completion of necessary documentation.</li><li>Assists with the filing of legal documents.</li><li>Assists with the management of databases and files.</li><li>Communicates regularly with clients.</li><li>Assists with other essential functions, as assigned.</li></ul>Qualifications and Skills:<ul><li>Prior paralegal/legal assistant experience, required.</li><li>Prior Family Law experience, preferred.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Must be detail oriented.</li><li>Good organizational, time management, and customer service skills.</li><li>Ability to work well independently.</li><li>Willingness and curiosity to learn.</li><li>Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Associate’s degree in Studies or a related field, required.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree, preferred.</li></ul>Benefits:<ul><li>100% Employer Paid Medical Benefits for Employees and Dependents</li><li>Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance</li><li>401 (k) Matching</li><li>Paid Time Off and Holiday Pay</li></ul>Work Environment:<ul><li>Full-time position (8-hour shift)</li><li>On-site attendance required</li></ul>Join Our Team!If you are a motivated individual with a genuine enthusiasm for the legal field, we encourage you to apply.
