Current directions of the lab include: 1) understanding how we share, understand, and influence others' emotions in ways that affect their depressive symptoms and health, 2) how social and emotional processes go awry in neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric disorders and contribute to depressive symptoms and health problems, and 3) interventions to influence social and emotional functioning to reduce depressive symptoms and health problems.
