The Diagnostic Evaluation Stabilization Center (DESC) at New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital strives to provide high quality, state of the art, acute psychiatric care to our pediatric population in Washington Heights, Inwood and the surrounding areas. Clinicians provide diagnostic assessment, crisis stabilization and short-term individual psychotherapy, and collateral sessions in an outpatient setting for youth presenting with a range of anxiety, mood, and behavioral disorders as well as risk for suicide.
