The Mammography Technologist is registered through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and is responsible for correctly utilizing mammography, Stereotactic, bone density equipment and the PenRad system.

Loan Repayment Assistance Program up to $20,000 Lifetime: The Imaging Loan Repayment Assistance Program provides financial support to our Mercy Imaging co-workers in a 24X7 hospital based eligible position who are in a .4 FTE and above, working 32 hours or more per pay period.

This position offers a unique change of scenery by means of working on a state-of-the-art mobile scanner, and ability to meet new people from various facilities.

Anticipated Schedule: Flexible, PRN: 1-3 days per week depending on availability Day shift, no nights or call.

Compensation (Commensurate with experience):.

The technologist operates specialized imaging equipment, maintains sterile technique, and collaborates with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.

p>Is familiar with and follows hospital-wide Radiation Policy and rules set forth by the Alabama Department of Public Health Division of Radiation Control.

Registered by as a Technologist by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within one (1) year of graduation date or within one (1) year of hire.

Reviews each examination for technical accuracy, presents completed examination to radiologist and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure. Interventional Radiology: Assists physician in a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures as they pertain to OR 28, Vascular Surgery, Interventional Radiology, and Neuro-Endovascular cases.

Reviews each examination for technical accuracy, presents completed examination to radiologist and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure. Interventional Radiology: Assists physician in a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures as they pertain to OR 28, Vascular Surgery, Interventional Radiology, and Neuro-Endovascular cases.

Equipment Management:

• Assist in the management and maintenance of radiation- emitting equipment, collaborating with imaging physicists to ensure optimal functionality.

p>The Nuclear Medicine Technologist assists the Radiologic Physician in the diagnosis and treatment of disease by the administration and detection of radioactive drugs.

SKILLS:

Annual completion of competency requirements Basic typing and computer skills Must be able to work in a stand alone position as well as call within six months of hire date.
