The Recreation Therapy Intern assists the Recreation Therapist with direct client care by helping to plan, organize, and lead recreation programs, as well as assists in assessing client leisure needs and developing behavioral treatment plans, goals, and interventions. Establish, initiate, organize, and conduct the recreation therapy treatment program including leisure education, aerobics, creative expression, outdoor education, community reintegration, and special events such as birthdays, holidays, and graduation parties; develop a weekly schedule of planned client activities.
