The position serves as a liaison between Parks and residents, neighborhood organizations, Friends Groups, volunteers, elected officials, and community partners to communicate Parks initiatives, gather and relay community feedback, and support responsive park planning, projects, and programs. The coordinator builds and maintains relationships with diverse communities, promotes equitable and inclusive participation in Parks activities and decision-making, and coordinates with internal Parks divisions to address community needs and strengthen public trust and engagement with the Parks system.
