Administers and participates in classification, reclassification, organizational, wage, salary and benefit studies; recommends modifications to the City's classification and compensation plans; Manages the coordination of various employee leaves including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, military leave, leave without pay, workers' compensation leave including under labor code 4850, temporary disability, etc. Recent professional-level work experience in human resources and risk management-related programs/activities in the public sector is preferred e.g., employee performance management, budget, classification/compensation analyses, policy and training development, labor negotiations, recruitment/selection, employee leave management, workers' compensation and liability claims administration, contracts and certificates of insurance review, and experience working within a unionized environment.
