No unusual physical requirements • Requires no heavy lifting and nearly all work is performed in an indoor facility • The nature of the job will require time within warehouse operation as well as some time outdoors of our Cross Dock facilities • Routine deadlines usually sufficient lead time variance in work volume, seasonal, and predictable priorities can be anticipated, some interruptions are present, most travel is planned, involves occasional exposure to demands and pressures from persons other than immediate supervisor • Job frequently requires sitting, handling objects with hands • Job occasionally requires standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting up to 10 pounds • Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically • Travel required up to 75. Minimum • Bachelors Degree or equivalent in work experience preferred • 5-10 years manager-level transportation experience to include outbound retail deliveries • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to communicate with all levels and departments both within and outside the company • High-Level working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point • Knowledge of current transportation regulations and future regulatory direction • Skillful negotiator with strong ability to influence.
