Performs duties directly involved in a variety of technical procedures in the application of radionuclides for the diagnosis, therapy and treatment of disease, operating gamma camera/computer imaging systems, planar and SPECT and non-imaging equipment, producing quality diagnostic images and results for interpretation by a radiologist/nuclear medicine physician, and practicing all rules and regulations pertaining to radiation safety, reducing personal and patient exposure to "as low as reasonably achievable" (ALARA). Francis Hospital features 340-beds and offers a modern Birth Center, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Cancer Center, Emergency Department, Level III Trauma Center, Imaging Services, Acute Inpatient Rehab, Surgical Services and Critical Care Unit.
