Clinical responsibilities include assisting with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, managing preeclampsia, eclampsia, diabetes, preterm labor, premature rupture of membranes, postpartum hemorrhage, malpresentations, and multiple gestations; administering magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, Pitocin, anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, and antiseizure medications; performing fetal and maternal assessments, newborn assessments, non-stress tests, fundus and lochia assessments, wound care, breastfeeding support, discharge teaching, and electronic fetal heart monitoring. Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications; valid Kansas or compact Registered Nurse (RN) license; at least 2 years of experience.
