This position will be fully remote and can be hired anywhere in the continental U.S.The Senior Security Advisor is a representative expert within a dedicated geography, bringing deep business experience and advanced security practitioner knowledge to understand and address client requirements. This role aligns advanced security services and technologies to help clients build highly defensible and scalable security programs that support their strategic initiatives. The Senior Security Advisor designs pragmatic, tailored security solutions for each client's environment and provides consistent expertise across all sales opportunities. In partnership with specialists and internal experts, this role drives thought leadership and delivers innovative cybersecurity solutions powered by an ecosystem of people, products, and partners.How you'll make an impact<ul><li>Drive the growth of security services and technology business to meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue objectives in partnership with account and portfolio teams</li><li>Develop a deep understanding of client security environments, business operations, and risk tolerance to proactively identify and address security needs</li><li>Align client challenges to strategic security solutions and present proactive recommendations before issues are formally identified</li><li>Identify and pursue cross-sell and upsell opportunities while collaborating with internal teams on scoping, proposal development, and deal closure</li><li>Clearly articulate how security technologies and services meet the specific needs of client stakeholders</li><li>Collaborate with service delivery teams to ensure consistent and comprehensive solution support materials</li><li>Partner with multiple client personas, including security leadership, to develop security strategies, roadmaps, and investment plans aligned to business goals and ROI</li><li>Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships through thought leadership, guidance, and ongoing support</li><li>Design and deliver comprehensive security solutions across technology and services, including:</li><li>Leading new client discussions using industry and peer networks</li><li>Performing requirements gathering, analysis, and technology selection</li><li>Coordinating demonstrations and evaluations of security technologies</li><li>Driving cross-organizational solutions leveraging the full solution portfolio</li><li>Partner with internal teams to ensure alignment between client expectations and service delivery outcomes</li><li>Identify emerging technologies and introduce them for internal enablement and client adoption</li><li>Support marketing efforts by representing the organization at events and through social media engagement</li><li>Participate in account planning, forecasting, and pipeline management activities</li><li>Contribute to proposal development, contracts, and RFI/RFP responses</li><li>Continuously develop technical, professional, and cybersecurity expertise</li><li>Translate client needs into actionable solutions and proposals in a timely manner</li><li>Apply advanced consultative selling skills, including relationship building, objection handling, and closing strategies</li><li>Mentor and support the development of other advisors</li></ul>What we're looking for<ul><li>Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) or equivalent experience required</li><li>Minimum of 8+ years of experience in information security, preferably as a consulting advisor, architect, or engineer</li><li>Strong understanding of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and defensive controls</li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead security-focused discussions with both technical and business stakeholders</li><li>Strong business and technical acumen with the ability to align security solutions to client objectives</li><li>Excellent communication and presentation skills, including client-facing and whiteboard sessions</li><li>Experience developing proposals, statements of work, and client deliverables with strong attention to detail</li><li>Ability to work independently in a highly adaptable and fast-paced team environment</li><li>Advanced technical expertise in security solution areas</li><li>Willingness and ability to travel regionally and internationally as needed</li><li>Valid driver's license or equivalent identification</li></ul>Preferred qualifications<ul><li>Industry certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, CISA, CISM, CCSP, or similar</li><li>Experience presenting at large industry events and evangelizing technology strategies</li><li>Previous experience leading security programs or functions</li><li>Active participation in professional organizations such as ISACA, ISSA, or similar</li><li>#LI-GN1</li></ul>What you can expect from Optiv<ul><li>A company committed to our inclusive value through our Employee Resource Groups</li><li>Work/life balance</li><li>Professional training resources</li><li>Creative problem-solving and the ability to tackle unique, complex projects</li><li>Volunteer Opportunities.
