Kenda American Technology Center Kenda American Technology Center (KATC) is responsible for advancing Kenda’s global design capabilities and developing new automotive, powersport, and bicycle tires for the North American marketplace. KATC was established in 2014 and is located in North Canton, Ohio. KATC currently has a staff of 50 and is expected to grow to 70~80 employees as Kenda expands its North American customer base. Departments include Tire Development, Tire Research, Tire Testing, and Tire Materials. Facilities include a Tire Testing Laboratory, Rubber Mixing Laboratory, and Material Analysis Laboratory in addition to the R&D office space.Position Summary: The Applied Research Engineer will use innovative applications like computer simulation, digital twin technology and advanced mathematical modeling to solve complex problems in today’s transportation systems. This position will be responsible for studying the complex nature of tires and developing new technologies to incorporate into our tires. Akron Children's Hospital is seeking a BC/BE pediatric hematologist/oncologist who will also serve as a clinical faculty member at the assistant/associate professor level. The ideal candidate for this position has a clinical focus within neuro-oncology and is interested in quality improvement/clinical research/medical education. Akron Children's Hospital is a teaching hospital with an AGMCE-accredited Hematology/Oncology fellowship training program and a medical school affiliation with Northeast Ohio Medical University.Programs at the Akron Children's Hospital Showers Family Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders include hematology, oncology, stem cell and marrow transplantation, a state-funded sickle cell program and regional hemostasis and thrombosis center. Hematology/oncology care is provided at our hospital in Akron, our Beeghly campus in Boardman, Ohio, and a monthly outreach clinic in the Amish Community. The Hematology/Oncology team is currently comprised of 10 faculty members and is growing along with seventeen advanced practice providers and an extensive team of nursing professionals and support staff.Each year the center cares for approximately 100 new oncology patients, 15 stem cell/marrow transplant patients, 160 sickle cell patients and 540 bleeding disorder patients. The staff also provides care through nearly 13,000 patient encounters annually.
