Required skills include: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, arterial line management, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), suctioning (ETT, NT), and isolation precautions/PPE. • Patient diagnoses include: GI bleed, COPD exacerbation, cardiac and respiratory arrest, overdose, suicide, CIWA/withdrawal, neurosurgical, surgical, post cardiac cath, end of life/comfort care, organ procurement, acute stroke, trauma, and targeted temperature management.
