The OB RNs do all cares: we labor, deliver, resuscitate baby as needed, clean up mother after delivery, postpartum, do all newborn 24hr testing, birth certificate, etc. Shift: 36hrs OT after 48 Required Certs: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Fetal monitoring Births/month: definitely varies but I would say 12-25/month.
