Provide individualized academic coaching and executive function support to students, including: Assess student strengths, barriers and support needs related to academic performance; Assist students in developing key executive function skills such as organizations, planning and prioritizing, task initiation, self-monitoring and goal setting; Establish goals and individualized action plans for success strategies with measurable outcomes; Develop strategies for academic success including notetaking, test-taking strategies and study skills; Support students in navigating the transition to college and understanding the expectations, the systems, and available resources; Help students develop strong communication, problem-solving and self-advocacy skills; Accurately document student interactions, referrals, progress notes and outcomes in designated student information systems. Provide consultation to faculty and staff regarding executive function challenges and effective student support strategies; Develop and facilitate workshops that focus on executive function skills such as time management, study skills, college readiness, self-advocacy, goal setting, and success in online courses; Analyze data on student participation and outcomes in collaboration with ARC staff.
