Inspection tasks may include but are not limited to: clearing and grubbing, earthwork, subgrade prep including stabilization, compacted aggregate placement, concrete and asphalt paving, incidental construction ( guardrail, barrier wall, fence, sidewalk, curb ramps, curbs, bridge approaches, riprap, structural steel painting, seeding and sodding, landscaping), structure inspection including bridges (pile driving, pier and end bent construction, rebar placement, concrete placement, bearing placement, beam placement, deck forming, superstructure rebar and concrete placement, bridge railings), drainage structures (box culverts, storm and sanitary pipe, precast drainage structures, trenchless pipe installation, underdrains), bridge deck overlays, permanent and temporary retaining walls. May include any of the following: Performs civil and structural tests, such as soil compaction, moisture content, aggregation, graduation, concrete slump, air entrainment, yield, preparation and testing of concrete test specimens, lines and grades surveys, bolt torques, asphalt sampling, coring test specimens, pavement smoothness measurements, flowable fill sample testing and strength testing, pavement marking retro-reflectivity measurement.
