This is achieved by providing high-quality nursing care, administering medications, first aid, documenting care, communicating with parents/guardians and Camp Leadership, training staff on health protocols, handling emergencies (including transport to hospitals) according to camp policies and state regulations, managing medical records, promoting overall wellness for campers with diverse needs, and focusing on high-level assessment, chronic condition management and safety in a structured environment. Responsible for remaining awake and alert throughout the night, responding promptly to any medical or safety emergencies, and notifying the Nurse Manager or Assistant Nurse Manager on-call, residential staff, and/or guardians if a camper is transported to the emergency room overnight.
