Oversee all regulatory reporting and recordkeeping obligations with accuracy and accountability.</p><p>Auditing & Continuous Improvement Lead internal audits, site inspections, and HSE risk assessments in alignment with facility guidelines and internationally recognized standards. Continuously evaluate and enhance regulatory programs to stay ahead of evolving standards and best practices.</p><p>Culture & Leadership Direct and inspire the facility's safety team, fostering a culture where safety is not just a requirement — it's a shared value. Partner cross-functionally with stakeholders at all levels to embed safety thinking into daily operations and decision-making. Develop and deliver engaging HSE training programs that equip employees with the knowledge and confidence to work safely every day.</p><p>Incident Management & Root Cause Analysis Apply Lean problem-solving tools, including 8D and A3 methodologies, to lead thorough incident investigations and root cause analyses. This role partners closely with operations to implement and continuously improve programs, processes, and procedures that protect employees, property, and the environment while ensuring full regulatory compliance.</p><p style="margin-left:0in;margin-right:0in">This position serves as both a strategic leader and hands-on operational partner — supporting day-to-day production needs, driving safety culture, and ensuring effective execution of all Wellness Pet safety and environmental standards, training, and compliance requirements.</p><p style="margin-left:0in;margin-right:0in"><strong>Day-to-Day Responsibilities </strong></p><ul><li>Lead site-wide safety and environmental programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all applicable regulations.</li><li>Drive a proactive safety culture by partnering with leaders and employees to reinforce safe behaviors and accountability at all levels.</li><li>Coach, develop, and hold leaders accountable for executing safety expectations within their teams and daily operations.</li><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, audits, and inspections, ensuring site readiness at all times.</li><li>Maintain OSHA 300 logs, environmental reporting, and all required compliance documentation.</li><li>Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.</li><li>Own and manage internal and external corrective action processes, ensuring timely resolution, compliance, and sustained improvement.</li><li>Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), including oversight of weekly and monthly audit processes and follow-up actions.</li><li>Ensure completion of required safety and food safety training, documentation, and compliance reporting; escalate risks or deviations to Quality and site leadership as appropriate.</li><li>Ensure all safety, environmental, and compliance policies and procedures are current, implemented, and consistently followed across the site.</li><li>Partner with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality to integrate safety into daily operations and continuous improvement efforts.</li><li>Provide real-time guidance and support to operations on safety, environmental, and risk-related decisions.</li><li>Support new equipment installations and capital projects by ensuring EHS requirements are met from design through startup.</li><li>Lead all safety and environmental training programs, ensuring employees are trained and capable of executing expectations.</li><li>Drive adherence to GMP, food safety, and BRC requirements as they relate to safety and environmental practices.</li><li>Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.</li><li>Lead safety communication efforts, ensuring clear, consistent messaging and strong employee engagement.</li><li>Promote positive employee relations while reinforcing accountability and ownership.</li><li>This is not an exhaustive list of all job duties/responsibilities.
