A person with a patient and calm demeanor, who can explain things well, and is seeking development of their leadership skills will thrive in this position.</div><br/><h3>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</h3><br/><div>The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:</div><ul><li>Utilize scheduling software to track and report on project timelines and deadlines.</li><li>Identify potential scheduling conflicts and develop proactive solutions.</li><li>Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules for multiple projects.</li><li>Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as needed to prevent delays.</li><li>Ensure all scheduling aligns with project budgets, contracts, and client expectations.</li><li>Analyze drawings, specifications, and statements of work in the preparation and acceptance of usable baseline schedules for construction.</li><li>Works closely with project team (project managers, superintendents, project engineers) to ensure that schedule information is communicated to the parties doing the work.</li></ul><br/><h3>Skills, Knowledge & Expertise</h3><br/><div>**Please note--Requirements are essential, but preferences have flexibility. **<br/><br/>Requirements:</div><ul><li>5+ years of experience required (at a minimum) on small to mid-size jobs or experience supporting a project scheduler.</li><li>Ability to perform a monthly schedule update and run a CPM schedule is required</li><li>Experience in heavy civil, structures, transit, or transportation construction is required</li><li>Proficient in Primavera P6/ Oracle Primavera Cloud, Microsoft Office.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Good organization and time-management skills</li><li>Ability to multi-task daily issues with longer-term tasks</li><li>Able to work to set deadlines and prioritize tasks</li><li>Effective verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Occasional travel is required</li><li>Driver’s License is required</li></ul><div>Preferences:</div><ul><li>Civil Engineering or Construction Management Degree (preferred) or alternative field exposure/experience will be considered in place of a degree.</li><li>3+ years of heavy civil construction is preferred </li><li>Time Impact Analysis, Delay Mitigation, Acceleration Schedule exposure will define top candidates.</li><li>Able to receive feedback on work product, and work with a team or autonomously.</li><li>Occasional travel is required.</li><li>Patience and a calm demeanor with leadership skills or a strong desire to develop them is preferred.</li><li>The ability to explain things effectively and gather information is preferred.</li></ul><div><br/>PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT</div><div>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
