JOB TITLE: Industrial Engineer / Master Scheduler LOCATION: Columbia, MO SALARY: $85,000-100,000/year<div>We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.Job Details: <ul><li>Job Type: Direct Hire</li><li>Industry: Aerospace / Defense / Aviation</li><li>Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision </li></ul>Qualifying Questions:<ul><li>Are you a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance?</li><li>Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role?</li><li>Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary?</li></ul>Summary: <ul><li>Develop, maintain, and execute the master production schedule to support operational goals and customer delivery requirements.</li><li>Design, develop, and optimize efficient manufacturing processes for both new and existing products.</li><li>Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to integrate new machinery, equipment, and technologies into production operations.</li><li>Assist in developing and improving production scheduling processes to ensure timely delivery and optimal resource utilization.</li><li>Implement level-loading strategies to balance workloads, improve capacity planning, and maximize throughput.</li><li>Conduct time studies, workflow analyses, and process evaluations to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.</li><li>Lead initiatives to rapidly scale production volumes while maintaining quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.</li><li>Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.</li><li>Apply lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance operational performance.</li><li>Monitor and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions when necessary.</li><li>Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including aerospace manufacturing requirements.</li></ul>Requirements: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>Minimum of 3 years of industrial engineering experience in a manufacturing environment; startup manufacturing experience preferred.</li><li>Proven experience developing and optimizing manufacturing processes and workflows.</li><li>Strong knowledge of production scheduling, capacity planning, and level-loading techniques.</li><li>Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.</li><li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative manufacturing environment.</li><li>Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.</li><li>Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).</li></ul><div>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Experience integrating new machinery, equipment, or technologies into manufacturing operations.</li><li>Knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies, including automation and additive manufacturing.</li><li>Proficiency with manufacturing software tools for scheduling, production planning, and process optimization.</li></ul></div>About Us:The Structures Company is a premier national aerospace and defense staffing agency specializing in contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire placements.
