Qualifications: • Certification as a School Counselor required • Provide individual and group counseling to students to address academic, social, and emotional challenges • Assist students in developing academic and personal goals, and create action plans for achieving them • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create a supportive learning environment • Conduct classroom lessons on topics such as conflict resolution, peer relationships, study skills, and career exploration • Address and mediate peer conflicts, disciplinary issues, and personal concerns • Guide students in transitioning between grade levels and preparing for high school • Assist in coordinating parent-teacher meetings and other school events • Maintain detailed records of student progress and counseling sessions, while ensuring confidentiality • Support students and families in crisis situations • Serve as a liaison between students, parents, and external resources, such as mental health services or social workers • Promote a positive school culture by advocating for the needs of students and promoting diversity and inclusion.
