We are seeking a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Comparative Genomics in the Department of Animal Science for a full-time, 9-month position starting around January 2027. Applicants will focus on innovative vertebrate genomics approaches, leveraging long-read sequencing and pangenomics to study complex traits, disease, and adaptation in livestock. The ideal candidate has a PhD in genetics/genomics, research excellence, and experience or interest in livestock genomics. Responsibilities include developing an extramurally funded research program, teaching, mentoring, and contributing to university service.
