Facilities Worker I, II - CustodialThe Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission (PVSC), a publicly-owned wastewater treatment facility located in Newark, New Jersey, is currently seeking Facilities Workers. Created in 1902, PVSC is the 5th largest facility of its kind in the United States, directly serving approximately 1.5 million residents in 48 municipalities located in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Passaic and Union Counties. The 140-acre plant is designed to treat an average of 330 million gallons per day (“mgd”) of wastewater with an annual average flow of approximately 241 mgd. Position Summary: Responsible to maintain the cleanliness of PVSC buildings by performing a variety of routine cleaning and custodial maintenance duties in addition to performing a variety of manual and unskilled labor in connection with light equipment operations, landscaping and snow removal.  Education: High School or Vocational School Diploma is required.   Experience: Facilities Worker I – Minimum two (2) years’ experience in basic janitorial service or general landscaping. Experience with light motorized equipment preferred. Facilities Worker II – Minimum one (1) year experience in basic janitorial services or general landscaping preferred. Requirements: Ability to read, write, speak and understand English sufficiently to perform the duties of the position and carry out oral and written instruction. Must be available for emergencies/job assignments on a 24-hour basis.  Must be able to learn the key elements of housekeeping that are critical in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.  Must be knowledgeable in the use of safety precautions that are exercised while operating equipment. Physical Demands:  Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation to ensure the health and safety of oneself or others is maintained.  To perform the essential functions of this position the employee must be able to:  sit, stand, walk, stoop, climb, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs., carry, reach, push, pull, and use tools.  Must have manual dexterity and the ability to use a keyboard, as well as visual acuity, hearing and speaking. Working Conditions: Workers are employed in conditions associated with a wastewater treatment plant and sewer collection system and will be required to work indoors and outdoors. The Clarient Group is seeking a Senior Smart Building Consultant to serve as a project manager & consultant to develop, deploy, and iterate smart building solutions at scale. The Senior Smart Building Consultant shall have an educational background & applied work experience rooted in building and business technology systems. The role is client-facing, and the work is fast-paced and highly technical. The ideal candidate is a great communicator, well organized, and can manage scope, schedule, and fee on multiple projects at once. The Senior Smart Building Consultant supports The Clarient Group’s smart building team, helping other project managers, consultants, and account managers deliver projects. Aside from project work and supporting clients, the Senior Smart Building Consultant is expected to positively contribute to the team’s technical and social initiatives. Executing The Clarient Group’s EXPERT process requires a deep understanding of hardware, software, and network infrastructure design, as well as a learning and growth mindset.
