p>TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. • Operates other grass-cutting equipment, edger, weed-whackers, hedge trimmers, hand pruners, backpack leaf blowers • Operates jackhammer, small rollers, small power washers • Assists landscaping and litter-picking crews • Transports materials to and from jobs • Assists in the cleaning and general maintenance of playground equipment and recreational areas • Cleans and maintains ball courts and fencelines in parks • Assists with repairs to park structures such as fence posts • Cleans and repairs park facility buildings as assigned • Assists in the maintenance of park areas • Cuts grass, picks up paper, litter, rubbish, and debris at assigned areas • Helps to empty receptacles into trash trucks and/or trailers • Rakes and picks up leaves, mulches, and assists in general grounds beautification • Trims shrubbery and bushes • Tars, sands, and patches asphalt • Digs holes and ditches, shovels, and assists with plowing snow • Performs related work as required.
