Working with appropriate stakeholders, principally lawyers and the paralegal in OGC, as well as individual ESI custodians: Develop and implement procedures/protocols to ensure consistency and effectiveness in preservation of ESI in response to litigation holds and other preservation requests; Review and analyze preservation and discovery requests to identify and locate categories of responsive ESI; Coordinate with and interview ESI custodians to determine the locations, format, and volume of relevant ESI; Conduct the preservation and secure storage of ESI, including forensic images and active-file archives; Develop chain-of-custody and record-keeping procedures/protocols; Support all aspects of e-discovery, including the collection, harvesting, processing, review, analysis, and production of ESI; Assist other IS&T personnel with computer forensic investigation and analysis (for example, in connection with possible data security incidents); Work with outside counsel and external litigation-support vendors, as needed; Provide other litigation support, as needed; Stay current on the latest e-discovery and computer forensics trends and technology; and . The Litigation Support IT Specialist will report to the Associate Director, Operations and Infrastructure, of IT, and will support the firm - in particular, the Office of the General Counsel ("OGC") - in all aspects of preserving, searching for, identifying, collecting, harvesting, and producing electronic records and other electronically-stored information ("ESI") in connection with litigation, subpoenas, internal investigations, and responses to other forms of legal process (often referred to, generically, as "e-discovery").
