Access Guard (Gate) Role Summary:   The Guard Shack Security is responsible for managing all vehicle arrivals and departures at the cross-dock facility, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety protocols while delivering exceptional service to clients. As Guard Shack Security, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety, security, and privacy of clients and their shipments. This position offers a dynamic and challenging work environment, providing the opportunity to make a meaningful difference through diligent oversight and customer-focused service. Key Result Areas: <ul><li>Verify and document all vehicle arrivals and departures, ensuring adherence to proper procedures. </li></ul><ul><li>Conduct security checks and inspection of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with company policies. </li></ul><ul><li>Assist drivers with parking, loading, and unloading instructions, maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor. </li></ul><ul><li>Maintain accurate logs of all transactions related to vehicle movements and delivery schedules. </li></ul><ul><li>Enforce safety, security, and privacy protocols to safeguard clients' shipments and facility integrity. </li></ul><ul><li>Communicate effectively with drivers, team members, and management regarding vehicle status and operational issues. </li></ul><ul><li>Respond promptly to any security or safety concerns, escalating incidents when necessary. </li></ul><ul><li>Support the overall efficiency of the cross-dock operations by facilitating smooth vehicle flow and minimizing delays. </li></ul>Qualifications:  <ul><li>Prior experience in security, logistics, or warehousing preferred. </li></ul><ul><li>Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety policies. </li></ul><ul><li>Excellent communication and customer service skills. </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure. </li></ul><ul><li>Basic computer skills for logging and data entry. </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical duties for extended periods.   </li></ul>Archway is growing – grow with us, too. Archway is an organization that embraces a People First culture.  We hire the best and brightest talent to serve as partners to the most recognized brands in the world. You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious activity and preventing vandalism, thefts, or other criminal behavior. The ideal candidate will build rapport with our client(s) while simultaneously maintaining an element of vigilance. The goal is to become the solution to our client's problem.<ul><li>Candidate must have current OPOTA Certification</li><li>Must be available for afternoons, evenings, and weekends</li></ul>Responsibilities<ul><li>Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence</li><li>Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property</li><li>Remove violators or trespassers from the area</li><li>Secure all exits, doors, and windows after end of operations</li><li>Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts</li><li>Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions</li><li>Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation</li><li>Provide assistance to people in need</li><li>Act as a temporary deterrent before arrival of authorities</li><li>Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience as a security officer or guard</li><li>Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety</li><li>Familiarity with report writing</li><li>Excellent surveillance and observation skills</li><li>Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems</li><li>Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense</li><li>Registered as a security officer</li><li>High School diploma is required</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $18.00 - $20.00 per hourSchedule:<ul><li>3x12</li><li>4x12</li><li>Holidays</li><li>Weekend availability</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>High school or equivalent (Preferred)</li></ul>Powered by JazzHR
