Maintain proper supply of parts and materials; prepare, update and work from current and projected shortage reports; foresee and recognize need for corrective action to offset interruptions and deviations in schedule; react immediately to all urgently needed items, and follow-up through conclusions; assure supplies and related paper work such as work orders, operation sheets; materials, tools etc., are provided to users. Requires a well-rounded knowledge of material planning, scheduling, expediting, auditing practices and automated shop floor methods, computer systems as applied to scheduling, inventory and production control and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
