Strong knowledge of several of the following: LV/MV electrical distribution, generators and generator controls, switchboards/switchgear, variable frequency drives, electric propulsion motors, propulsion control systems, Power Management Systems (PMS), protection and coordination, vessel automation/control systems, and hybrid power or energy-storage systems. Design and develop marine electrical power systems, including generation, LV/MV distribution, switchboards, transformers, propulsion drives and motors, and auxiliary power systems; develop and review single-line diagrams, system architecture, equipment specifications, load analyses, power balance calculations, and other electrical design documentation.
