A core function of this role is building and supporting the organization's backend application architecture—including APIs, business logic, database structures, integration layers, authentication systems, secure data access patterns, and customer-aware application functionality—while ensuring scalability, maintainability, performance, and security across environments. The Senior Backend Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems, APIs, databases, and application services that power the organization's enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, customer-facing digital experiences, and AI-enabled solutions.
