Qualifications Required: · Industrial mechanical maintenance experience (chemical or manufacturing environment preferred) · Proficiency with piping systems, mechanical repairs, alignments, and rigging · Ability to climb stairs and ladders throughout facility to access platforms · Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and equipment documentation · Ability to use computers and interact with a CMMS · Ability to work in a PSM-regulated environment with hazardous chemicals · Willingness to work extended hours during outages. Formal vocational training in plant maintenance activities with emphasis on industrial applications or equivalent job experience in electricity, power distribution, industrial electrical wiring, mechanics, machine operations, general plumbing, heating ventilation and air conditioning, and/or boiler operations. p>Parks and Recreation/Cacapon Resort State Park Under the supervision of the Building Maintenance Supervisors, the Building Maintenance Mechanic performs a variety of skilled and semiskilled work at the full-performance level in the mechanical or building trades in connection with the maintenance and repair of a 120-room lodge, 31 cabins, Old Inn, park residences, nature center, picnic shelters, horse stable, bathhouse, and park support facilities at Cacapon Resort State Park. HVAC work includes installation, upkeep and repair of circulator pumps, thermostat systems, air handlers, air filters, ductwork, heat exchangers and PTAC units.

Ability to work in extreme weather conditions; lift, carry, push and pull up to 100 pounds stand for extended periods; and operate various parks equipment including: backhoes, loaders, bobcat, tandem dump truck, brush hog, skid loader, ditch witch, and trenching equipment. • Performs work in a safe manner, securing work site and following work zone safety rules, wearing safety equipment including glasses, boots, gloves, hearing protection, helmets, and harnesses.
