Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), CCC-SLP, MBSImP, and Vital stim certifications; Idaho speech-language pathology license; one year of experience; competency in bedside swallow evaluations, videofluoroscopic swallow studies, cognition, speech and language treatment, dysphagia management, diet modification, tracheostomy care, suctioning, patient and family education, and care planning. Clinical responsibilities include bedside swallow evaluations, modified barium swallow studies, compensatory strategies, hyolaryngeal exercises, use of alternative communication devices and Passy-Muir valves, interpretation of swallow studies, thickening agents, and patient and family education.
