Key Highlights- Weekly pay: $2,030–$2,126 per week- Contract duration: 13 weeks- Shift: 3x12-hour days (07:00–19:00)- Start date: 11/08/2026- Setting: Emergency Department in a hospital- Orientation: 36 hours provided- Travel assignment: yesResponsibilities- Provide direct, high-quality nursing care in a busy ER, including initial assessment, triage, monitoring, and prioritization of patient needs- Administer medications, IV therapies, ventilator support as needed, and respond to acute emergencies per physician orders- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, social services, transportation, unit secretary) to coordinate patient care and disposition- Monitor and document patient status using the Epic charting system; ensure accuracy of documentation, care plans, and discharge instructions- Manage care for patients with stroke, STEMI, chest pain, trauma, shortness of breath, and other critical conditions; implement ACLS- or PALS-guided interventions as appropriate- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and isolation precautions; participate in rounding and handoffs to ensure continuity of careRequirements- Licensure: Active RN license in the state; compact license must be in hand at submission- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC- Experience: Minimum 2 years of ER/charge experience; community hospital or Level II trauma center experience preferred- Charting: Proficiency with Epic electronic medical record system- Geography: Residence within 50 miles of the assignment preferred- References: Two references required, covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years- Scheduling: Must commit to working 3 of 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, NYE, NYD)- Submittal: RTO requests must be submitted up-front during submittalBenefits and Support- Orientation provided prior to start (36 hours)- Interdisciplinary support including Respiratory, Interpretation, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretary- Dedicated support throughout the assignment from the travel teamFind more opportunitiesIf you’d like to explore similar ER travel openings, apply for other available positions at Healthforce Healthcare LLC by visiting https://healthforce.applytojob.com/applyPlease note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
