Expertise and Teacher Certification in Inclusive / Special Education; At least 4 years of teaching experience in a variety of K-12 special education settings (including inclusive and/or self-contained positions in a variety of grade levels); Preferred qualification of additional Teacher Certification in Childhood Education; Doctoral degree (PhD or EdD) in Special Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or a related field (ABD status will be considered with conferral date no later than June 30, 2027); Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, organizational and time management skills. Teach core Undergraduate Teacher Education courses within the area of Inclusive / Special Education (typical workload may include up to 24 credits of instruction per academic year); Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum design, instruction and evaluation; Participate in academic and career advising and engagement in scholarly activities; Create new courses and participate in the development of new areas of concentration.
