Under the general direction of the Associate Director of the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), the EOP First-Year Experience (FYE) Coordinator independently performs complex professional student services work requiring independent judgment, comprehensive student advisement, program planning, and coordination that supports the academic achievement, persistence, and graduation of historically low-income, first-generation, and educationally disadvantaged students. The incumbent serves as the lead advisor for first-time freshmen, coordinates the EOP First-Year Experience and Summer Bridge programs, provides holistic advising and case management, supervises paraprofessional student staff, and collaborates with campus partners to develop innovative, equity-minded programs that promote student success.
