A candidate for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor shall be required to meet the following qualifications: • An appropriate terminal degree or agree to complete this degree within a period of time to be specified in the terms of the initial contract; • Appropriate professional experience and achievements may be substituted when formal teaching experience is limited or absent; • When formal teaching experience is limited or absent, the candidate shall be required to demonstrate verifiable potential for effective teaching.
