To be found well-qualified as an ICTAP applicant, experience should include: applying local, state, and federal requirements governing the receipt, storage, handling, transportation, sale, and disposal of hazardous and toxic materials and waste; knowledge of chemical properties, contaminants, waste characterization, labeling, storage compatibility, and safe processing procedures for hazardous materials; inspecting materials, containers, and storage areas; identifying unsafe or noncompliant conditions; and ensuring timely corrective actions; ability to provide technical guidance to generators, field personnel, customers, and contractors while maintaining accurate receipt, inventory, accountability, and disposition documentation within required time frames. Combination: Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for grade levels GS-11 and GS-09, and may be computed by first determining the applicants total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; then determining the applicants education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level; and then adding the two percentages.
