p>Other Physical Demands: During the playing and practice season (generally 18 - 30 weeks in a 52 week period), when this individuals primary responsibility is coaching a sport, the coach will stand/walk/sit for 3-6 hours per day at practice, perform office tasks (meet with student-athletes and colleagues and respond to correspondence), and on the phone and computer (primarily recruiting).
They must be able to recruit student-athletes, which requires phone calls and traveling off-campus, and evaluating written, oral and digital information from prospective student-athletes, and interact with outside interests in the form of DePauw alumni, high school coaches, club team coaches, and parents during the recruitment of student athletes.
